Greetings MN SEED community! The MN SEED event season is kicking into gear with opportunities to connect with other seedy types, brush up on your plant and seed identification skills, process seed and collect seed in a variety of locations. THURSDAY, AUGUST 18, 2022 AT 9:30 AM – 11 AM
West Minnehaha Recreation Center

MnSEED is offering a series of seed saving events in 2022 that provide opportunities to collect, process, and learn about native plants & their seeds! Join MnSEED community in gathering locally adapted seeds from area native plants for purposes of sharing back through swaps, distributions and events. Learn seed saving practices to help ensure viable seeds that come true to plant type. Participants will learn from each other and have the opportunity to save seeds for themselves.

Seed harvesting events will involve identifying natives, checking to be sure seeds are mature, collecting seedheads, and properly documenting the collected plants.
