Looked much larger than the usual green lacewings
These guys are on a fig which is still on the tree. I'm pretty sure they are African Fig Flies (Zaprionus indianus). The species does not seem to be in the data base.
These guys are on a fig still on the tree. Not sure if this is two different species or possibly just sexual differences. I think this is Spotted Wing Drosophila (Drosophila suzukii) and one African Fig Fly (Zaprionus indianus).
Introduced to N Am in 2008, to the Northeast in 2011. New to NJ on BugGuide. Body 2.7 mm.
