OCT 5th - Lab 5 journal entry on Pholiota adiposa observation
Pholiota adiposa is a species of fungus commonly known as the chestnut mushroom. The entire mushroom is edible with the exception of the very bottom of the cluster where it attaches, which is a little tough. The flavor is a little nutty.
One study even showed that pholiota adiposa might have antioxydant properties, helping fight off free radicals.
