September 15, Field Day 1 - Selin Omur

Adult moths lay their eggs in the fall, and then the larvae hatch in the spring feeding on a variety of woody plants. Moth and moth larvae coloring often resembles the bark of the food plant it prefers. This is most likely a protective adaptation.
