I am a PhD student in Environmental Systems at UC Merced and hog-wallow aficionado. My core research interests are understanding the patterns of plant diversity across complex and threatened landscapes. I use a combination of environmental DNA techniques (metagenomics) and experimental biology approaches to better understand patterns of diversity and local adaptation in vernal pool plant species.
