Hello! I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Florida and Adjunct Professor at Quincy College. I got my PhD in Entomology at Texas A&M University and my primary research focuses on insects related to decomposition so I spend a lot of my time identifying insects. My primary focus is on Diptera and Coleoptera with a strong emphasis on the families/genera/species associated with animal decomposition. I also do Forensic Entomology casework and spend a lot of time identifying insects from photo and physical evidence to help law enforcement establish a time the remains were likely colonized by insects.

I am excited to be using this tool with my students to explore the natural world in their General Biology 2 course.
