My passion is documenting the under-appreciated native flora and fauna in the various habitats of Virginia's Middle Peninsula, in hopes that it will be conserved. I share this passion (and account) with my wife Maeve, who helps me in identifying and observing. Graduate of CNU class of 2014. Majored organismal biology.

Maeve is a 2014 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania (now Pennsylvania Western University) with a Bachelor's in Wildlife Biology. She works with the US Fish & Wildlife Service as a biological contractor. Maeve loves birds, Virginia native plants, native bees, and gardening with native plants to create an oasis for wildlife in our yard. She is on the Board of Directors for Friends of Dragon Run and their Citizen Science Chair.
