I am a native Texan, living in the midst of a vibrant and diverse forest that I actively manage. I have a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M. I am a retired educator, but never tired of studying and learning of the natural world. My particular interests range across the disciplines of ornithology, botany, dendrology, ichthyology, limnology, marine biology, entomology, paleontology... to sum it up - I'm a student of natural history.
