I'm currently work for NC Natural Heritage Program, and I recently finished my master's thesis on songbird occupancy dynamics in the longleaf pine ecosystem. I've been using eBird regularly for a bit, and it has provoked my interest in iNaturalist as well as other platforms such as HerpMapper.

I've worked previously as a wildlife technician in NYS, as an intern for US Fish and Wildlife, and as a songbird survey technician for US Geological Survey/University of Maine. I have a decent level of experience with tree and wetland herb ID, but my strengths are certainly birds, mammal tracks/sign, and herps (especially turtles!). I'm hoping to contribute some of my own interesting observations, but even more so to learn from the iNaturalist community.
