I'm a retired botanist, but I'm taking up the rearing of internally-feeding phytophagous insects as a hobby.
Having lost our home in the Holiday Farm Fire, I am also trying to informally document some of the life that survived our recolonized the burnt landscape.

As part of our rebuild, I will have a laboratory I call the McKenzie Valley Bug Lab. This laboratory now has a Discord Server you are welcome to join! If you are interested in following developments on or in the lab, please message me if you would like an invitation.

I always enjoy a good treasure hunt, so feel free to suggest taxa (especially arthropods) I should look for in my area. I am happy to collect taxa for others as long as the purpose is scientific (and I follow the code of ethical collection).
