I was born and raised in Houston, TX but have lived in Austin, TX, since 2010.
Professional chef turned veterinary assistant and wildlife rehabber.
In addition to working full time as a wildlife rehabber and ICU technician at a center in Georgetown, TX, I am also a longtime volunteer at Austin Bat Refuge where I assist in the care of non-releasable bats and the rescue and rehabilitation or local bats.

I have a Level 3 certification in Wildlife Track and Sign via Cyber Tracker North America, and have been active in wildlife tracking since 2020 thanks to the tracking intensive at Earth Native Wilderness School. I am happy to help ID any animal tracks, scat or other animal sign you may find though my knowledge of local species outside of Texas may be limited.

I was certified as a Texas Master Naturalist in 2022 and I’m a member of the Good Water chapter.
I completed the Master Volunteer Entomology course in 2023.

I spend a lot of my time researching and tracking beavers in central Texas and manage the Texas Beavers collection project:

I also spend a lot of my time in Williamson creek and manage a collection project for Central Williamson Creek:

I love exploring creeks, ponds, ditches, etc. My current hobbies include tracking, birding, rock collecting, and trying to see a river otter IRL. (Accomplished!!)
My favorite animal is an alligator, followed by goats, monkeys, and raccoons.
