I am a scientist with a PhD in biochemistry and so have a huge interest in anything to do with nature. However, while quite familiar with biomolecules, I have only recently started to learn identifying wild plants, fungi and animals - mainly around my home in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the south of England, or when on vacation. I look forward to sharing my pictures, and hope to learn from others using the inaturalist website.
