I am a high school teacher and an avid lover of all things outdoors. I got my degree in Biology with an emphasis in zoology, and over the years I have tried to develop my skills of identifying native bird and plant species. I am the lead teacher for our district's Environmental Science Academy. On our campus, my students and I have completed 4 years of native plant landscaping projects. One of my main goals is to get students outside and develop an appreciation of and curiosity for nature.
