Del Norte is the northwestern most county in California. It is a mountainous, rural county with extensive redwood and Douglas Fir forests near the coast, long beaches, and several major rivers. It also has a large coastal plain and lagoon at its northwest corner, four state parks, and the medium-sized coastal town of Crescent City whose harbor often attracts interesting wildlife. This is a list of all of the plants, animals, and other wildlife I've photographically recorded in the county.
