What a beautiful, awesome, extraordinary, mind-blowing, unforgettable encounter! I was standing on the edge of a cliff looking at the breathtaking scenery in front of me. All at sudden, I heard an animal call. I stood still and turned my head to the left. An awesome, extraordinary, mind-blowing, beautiful, unforgettable peregrine falcon was perching on a small ledge five (5) feet away from me. I was dumbstruck. I had never seen this slick and fast bird of prey so close before. We look into each other eyes for several seconds. Then, the bird let itself go as if gravity didn’t matter and skydived into an 800 feet deep ethereal abyss. The only image that I have is the one etched in my memory. Later on, I heard some dogs fighting and their owners' yelling at them to stop. Then, a photographer took a short cut and drove his pick up truck instead of walking along the edge of the cliff. He snapped away at a couple of big horn sheep. And I thought to myself: "You guys don't know what you have missed."
