Shallow subtidal rock platform near Cape Banks. There were Purple Wrasse and Blue-throated Wrasse utilising the same ledges and undercuts for shelter, and swimming together through the Macrocystis, Cystophora and other vegetation. .
This was a juvenile near shore at Post Office Rock, in less than 2m of water
Juvenile / sub-adult PJ shark was resting under a ledge in this shallow rock platform
Bluethroat Wrasse were sharing some of the same ledges as Purple Wrasse. The two species were swimming in and out of one ledge, and around the shallow rock platform.
This appears to be the first record in iNaturalist of this species (Holopneustes porosissimus). Needs to be added to the database.
