This was tiny, it's centre piece was about 1 cm. In a rock pool close to subtidal region.
Tamaki Drive seashore in the vicinity of Tamaki Yacht Club, Mission Bay/Orakei, Auckland 1071. On the underside of intertidal rocks.
@sadiem are the features clear enough? On a chair retrieved from 5m depth under the wharf.
From under a low tidal rock, moved to a rock pool for photography purposes.
Under rocks at low tide on rocky reef.
Associated with Ophionereis but much smaller, different colour. Only one seen shown here - specimen missing most of its arms.
Nice to be able to show @pjd1 this species of brittle star. Thbe second photo has the arm of the Ophionereis fasciata for size comparrision.
Found under a rock in the low intertidal zone.
(Once again ignore the location as this was not found on the coastal walk track amoung rawiri but that is what the gps thinks.)
I think this is what this one is.
Lurking under a rock in the low intertidal zone.
I think this is Ophioceres huttoni although it is one colour, but taht could be because it may be a juvenile.
Back down in Brittle Star alley and found this one @sadiem which is not the usual that I find around here. The pen marks on the glove fingers are 10mm apart.
Went back down brittle star alley to find this for better photos and the first rock I turned over had this little beauty under it.
I think I have this one right @sadiem?
