Cheilocystidia: Rare/poorly differentiated. Narrowly cylindric to somewhat contorted and branched.
Pileipellis: A cutis.
Clamp connections: Present throughout.
Stipe: heavily brown tomentose increasing towards the base.
Habitat: Fruiting single out of leaf litter with Populus nearby.

Odor and taste: Non distinctive.
Habitat: Fruiting gregariously in large troops from roots of a cut tree.

Smooth, ellpisoid/slightly amygdaliform, chocolate brown in melzers.
Print: Dark brown purple black
Basida: clavate, 4 sterigmate, basal clamps.
Pleurocysidia: numerous but spaced out, broadly lageniform/ utriform, some with apical encrusted elements.
Cheilocystidia: absent or undifferentiated from basida. Specimen did seem to have larger than basidia inflated clavate elements.
Pileipellis: a cutis of spherical elements.
Clamp connections: found throughout.
Habitat: Growing clustered under young Pinus, Picea, and Populus.

Smooth, ellpisoid/obovoid flattened on one side when viewed from the side. Brown in KOH mount.

Pileipellis: A cutis formed of spherical elements * pileocystidia present but rare (flexouse)*
Caulocystidia: scattered/rare, lecythiform.
Clamp connections: Present and hard to see because of small size.
Habitat: Fruiting terrestrial by itself from litter of Picea and Populus.
