This was tiny, maybe three-quarters of an inch long. I assume it was extremely young. There are various frogs and toads seen at this location. It wasn't far from water, but was on the dry side of the path among tufts of grass.
Looked kinda odd for a Largemouth, but I was in an area where Alabama Bass have been found... Not really sure how to ID Alabama...
Seen in cedar tree below garden.
Singing high in pine above creek.
Seen crossing small creek during wet and rainy day.
Young rabbit found resting near creek.
Found near log along driveway. Hourglass on belly, but couldn't get a good photo of it.
Young buck stopped and turned back after crossing driveway.
Female perched in pine along driveway.
Found by my parents. Moved safely off the road.
Looking online, it seems to be a juvenile Eastern Rat Snake, which they say are the most common snake here in Virginia.
