105 degrees Fahrenheit; my front yard; on a tree.
I saw an endless train of ants and I was amazed.
This ant has an interesting problem: She has bitten onto the fore tarsus of a Longhorn Beetle (Anelaphus pumilus) and will not let go. I found them in my bathroom, on a hair bungee. Neither one would let go. Both of them were still alive.
Habitat was dry forest, dominated by Quercus segoviensis, near 900 masl. Pacific slope.
