I stayed a the Flotel, to take deveral boat trips out to see Jaguars. The first afternoon we paid closer attention to mammals than we did to birds.
We took a morning and afternoon trip on boast to see jaguars and we spent some time looking at feathered creatures as well as furry ones.
Seen during a game of Game Drive Cricket, where three teams competed and points were awarded for sighting different species
Ochthoeca diadema
Tandayapa Valley, Ecuador
Possibly Rindgea disparcata or a form of R. nigricomma without strong crosslines. Tough genus!
A pale example, but I still couldn't choose between two similar species.
I think this is going to be Rindgea nigricomma but I'll have to study it a little closer. Ph. in the restroom near the parking lot at Tejas Camp.
Sighted at NABA National Butterfly Center. Cloudy day with high humidity in the 80’s F with periodic showers.
