This male refused to tolerate a male White-tailed Skimmer that wanted to share his sunny patch of forest; driving off the larger insect repeatedly when it tried to settle.
Very small for this species. About like a larger Melitta. Flying at the bottom of the canyon.
These were common near their host plant, as usual. Photos are of two different individuals. Second is on host plant.
