Saw this isopod on the ground, next to Petsiliana Waterfalls, Heraklion, Crete.
Small, not so active and likes to burrow from what I saw. Stays still in contact and looks so fragile, I was afraid to place it on it's back for a bottom photo.
Found at Skoteino Cave at Ayia Paraskevi, Heraklion, Crete.
Observed these guys for some time till I finally start to "see" them.
Width is hardly larger than a fat needle, no more than 3mm long. Used macro lens for this photos.
They were standing at 2 specific spots just by the entrance of Skoteino Cave. At the right path, near the first stalagmite after the steps, and a few meters further, still on the right side at a similar looking spot.
So pretty and fragile. At the last 2 photos this speciment looks female if i'm correct.
Didn't see more than 15-20 of these guys, close to each other but just on these 2 spots, after midnight time.
I often see these guys here. I'm not sure if it's the right subspecies. But it LOOKS like other pictures of P. Fluv.
