Upright when perching. Only seen briefly, extremely back-lit. Seemed sparrow-sized, but may be up to robin sized if I was mis-judging distance. Took off as I brought my camera up, and disappeared into the golf course.

Couldn’t get a photo. Visual was not definitive with lighting and distance without binoculars but…While there are routinely cedar waxwings here I heard these guys and knew a flock of bohemians had been recently reported on ebird and there was one of those ‘wait a sec there’s something less familiar’ feelings when i saw/heard them that caused me to question. Either way: Waxwings!! 😂

Saw this a Montezuma NWR and it kind of looked like it could be a hybrid. Really not sure since it is only that light color on the face that makes me think that.
