All taken going straight up hill directly across from meeting place and over as far as the ravine.
Reintroduced
The four species in one place (Samburu National Reserve):
Reticulated giraffe (Giraffa reticulata)
Kenyan impala (Aepyceros melampus rendilis)
Southern gerenuk (Litocranius w.walleri)
Vulturine guineafowl (Acryllium vulturinum)
Small part of the King Penguin colony at Salisbury Plain.
Mt. Sanitas TH. These come back every year and are said to be a cultivar. Weber says these can be found naturally growing further east on the plains.
Bobolink Trail
I was struggling with Grindelia species in Boulder County almost as much as I do with thistles. Then, I got expert advice from a top identifier on iNaturalist. Thank you Ryan McDaniels.
I looked at Ackerfield's treatment, Weber's, and FNA which Weber uses.
I found my labor and understanding, which is at the beginner level, were made more simple and lucid by only following Weber's sage advice and Ryan McDaniel's guidance.
"We follow the FNA treatment of this difficult genus. Hybridization and trivial variation are rife", William A. Weber.
It is possible that in the future, modern technologies will establish subspecies. But until then, KISS is my strategy with Grindelia species!
