Watching NZ versus the world

This year the challenge is split across two projects, presumably to save the iNat's over-worked server's from exploding.

Aotearoa is in the Eurasia-Africa-Oceania project, where Wellington and Christchurch are bouncing about in the top 5 to top 10 cities. Cape Town will be a city to watch, as they've done spectacularly well in some past challenges, and they woke up many hours later than NZ.

The other project is for North and South America, including San Francisco where iNat was born, and LA which led the first ever City Nature Challenge against San Francisco. La Paz in Bolivia is the one to watch here. In recent challenges La Paz have made the rest of the world's city's look foolish, with their enthusiasm and tropical biodiversity advantage.
