I heard this, too. It was pretty cool.

In that same segment, I also heard that, apparently, if the parasitic wasp researchers ever get as motivated in classifying as the beetle people, we may find there are even more wasps. It turns out there are at least one or two parasitic wasp species for every beetle species. And they didn't even mention those wasps that parasitize bees, other insects, or even the gall wasps -- many of which are highly specific (there are over 100 named species of oak gall wasps in the Andricus genus alone).
