I explored the phylogenetic placement of common hackberry. The placement of this species is the third species from the tip of the phylogenetic placement "branch".
Among my 10 observations, they don't have any adaptation in common because our group observed insects and plants, therefore they don't share the same traits, but all the plants I observed are green currently.
The unique adaptation is common hackberry is the only one among my 10 observations that produce red and round fruit that is edible for humans and animals.
I identified this using dichotomous key. The leaf margin is serrated. The veins of leaf are separated.
