Kia ora and thank you!

Kia ora koutou
A massive thanks to everyone who has contributed to the Pest Free Kaipātiki Nature Challenge from the 30th of April to the 3rd of May!

As you can see from the project we have had an amazing turnout, with heaps of observations and unique species being found!

A big thank you to the 55 identifiers who helped with the identification of species as well :)

If you want to continue doing amazing work, our new year-long project has started, simply search up "Pest Free Kaipātiki - Ecological Monitoring", join in, and continue exploring the wild!

Ngā mihi nui,
Jem and the PFK Team.

Keep going with your observations

Kia ora koutou
thanks everyone who has contributed to the Pest Free Kaipātiki Nature Challenge over the past 3 days.
There is one more day of the challenge, ending at midnight on Monday 3rd May, and we really want as many observations as possible.

It doesn't have to be special, unique, rare or anything unusual. Just take photos or sounds recordings of any living thing you see and upload to iNaturalist.
As long as the photos are taken during the challenge, they can be uploaded later and still count towards the total numbers.

Everything that is uploaded for the Pest Free Kaipātiki Nature Challenge is also counted in the official Tāmaki makaurau/Auckland City Nature Challenge (you can see the progress of that project here: https://inaturalist.nz/projects/city-nature-challenge-2021-tamaki-makaurau-auckland )
Tāmaki makaurau/Auckland is running behind Wellington and Chirstchurch but with your help we have one last big push to get help get our numbers up.

So, keep going and find as many observations as you can over the next 24 hours or so.
Ngā mihi nui,
Nic and the PFK Team.
