Observations of the week (26.06.2022 - 02.07.2022)

Hello everyone! This is the nineteenth "Observations of the Week" post of the Biodiversity of South India Project!
Here they are in order:

  1. A Macromia ellisoni from Chikmagalur, Karnataka by @shesharaj_navada.
    This observation, which is also an iNat first, got 6 votes from our members!

    A (1) Malabar Vine Snake (Ahaetulla malabarica) feeding on an (2) Oriental Rat Snake (Ptyas mucosa) from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu by @sidnature.

  3. A completely transparent Eel sp. (Anguilliformes sp.) from Alappuzha, Kerala by @renju.
    This observation got 1 vote as well!

Observations of the week (03.07.2022 - 09.07.2022)

  1. A beautiful Phallus sp. from Bamgalore, Karnataka by @varmax.
    This observation got 6 votes from our members!

  2. A Zoica sp. from Kodagu, Karntaka by @abhiapc.
    This observation got 1 vote as well!

  3. A Xorides sp. from Bangalore, Karntaka by @rintz.
    This observation, which is the first of this genus from Karnataka on iNat, got 1 vote as well!

Observations of the week (10.07.2022 - 16.07.2022)

  1. A Wandering Violin Mantis (Gongylus gongylodes) preying on a bee from Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu by @sagarika_chen, who is also a group member.

  2. Interaction between an Ornamental Tree Trunk Spider (Herennia multipuncta) and a slug sp. from Bangalore, Karnataka by @vaidyar.

  1. A critically endangered and endemic Cross-backed Bush Frog (Raorchestes signatus) from Tamil Nadu by @kokari.

  2. A Lesser Sneaking Ant (Cardiocondyla minutior) from Erode, Tamil Nadu by @awayk3n, who is also a group member.
    This observation, which is the first observation of this species in Tamil Nadu on iNat, got 1 vote!

  3. A Cyclosa sp. from Bangalore, Karnataka by @jithesh, who is also a group member.
