Observations of the week (29.05.2022 - 04.06.2022)

Hello everyone! This is the fifteenth "Observations of the Week" post of the Biodiversity of South India Project!
This week, we have a tie! Here they are in order:

  1. A Trumpet Tail (Acisoma panorpoides) with a Western Golden Dartlet (Ischnura rubilio) kill from Thrissur, Kerala by @sssuresh.
    This observation got 5 votes from our members!

  2. An Epsilon from Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka by @jithesh,who is also a group member.
    This observation, which happens to be the first observation of the genus in India on iNat, received 1 vote from our members!

  3. An Argiope sp. with a Hemidactylus sp. kill from Uttara Kannada, Karnataka by @goudagururaj.
    This observation received 1 vote!

Observations of the week (58.06.2022 - 11.06.2022)

Hello everyone! This is the sixteenth "Observations of the Week" post of the Biodiversity of South India Project!
Here they are in order:

  1. A mating(?) pair of Delta conoideum from Bangalore, Karnataka by @haneesh.
    This observation got 7 votes from our members!

  2. An endemic Anaimalai Spiny Lizard (Salea anamallayana) from Munnar, Kerala by @bhavyajoshi.
    This observation, which is also an iNat Observation of the Day, received 2 votes from our members!

Observations of the Week (12.06.2022 - 18.06.2022)

Hello everyone! This is the seventeenth "Observations of the Week" post of the Biodiversity of South India Project!
Here they are in order:

  1. A Gnathopalystes sp. hunting frit flies (Chloropidae sp.) from Mysore, Karnataka by @abhiapc.
    This observation got 3 votes (including @shashikanthbkambannavar's) from our members!

  2. A Pellenes iva making itself at home in the exoskeleton of an insect by @shashikanthbkambannavar who is also a group member!
    This observation received 1 vote from our members!

  3. A critically endangered and endemic South Indian Frog (Indirana semipalmata) from Theni, Tamil Nadu by @seemamerchant.
    This observation got 1 vote as well!

Observations of the week (19.06.2022 - 25.06.2022)

Hello everyone! This is the eighteenth "Observations of the Week" post of the Biodiversity of South India Project!
This week, all votes went to one observation. Here it is:

Saunder's Terns (Sternula saundersi) from Kannur, Kerala by @afsarnayakkan, who is also a group member!
These are the first records of this species from India on iNat, and 2nd record(?) from Kerala on eBird.
