My main intersts are freshwater fishes of the families Loricariidae & Callichthyidae, I've been several times in South America on self-organised expeditions in Suriname, French-Guyana and Peru.
I'm supporting the data base at www.l-welse.com which is focussing on Loricariidae and Callichthyidae.

Since some time I also started to explore local nature, basically nearly no matter whatever I can find. I always try to make pictures that allow a safe identification. If some important details are missing please don't hesitate to ask for them, I will do my best next time...
