I'm currently a research assistant at the California Academy of Sciences working on arachnids. I graduated with my BS in Entomology at Cornell in 2020. I received my MS in Biology with a concentration in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology in December 2022.

I'm incredibly passionate about all arthropods, but my previous and current work centers on moths and arachnids in the context of museum-based biodiversity work. Here, I'm trying to share what I know and become a more well-rounded naturalist outside of my areas of expertise. I'm also incredibly passionate about outreach and have been involved in several projects involving communicating science and preparing scientific displays.

Moths are what got me interested in arthropods, and I have been involved in helping organize and plan for
National Moth Week, a global community science project founded by Liti Haramaty and David Moskowitz which seeks to promote appreciation for the aesthetic and ecological value of moths since 2012.

If you mention me in a comment or observation and don't hear from me in a timely manner, please do not hesitate to send me a message - that is the most reliable way to contact me on here.

If you would like to use my photos/observations in a noncommercial educational setting (I include in this definition lectures, talks, scientific publications) feel free to do so as long as you give me credit - and let me know! I love hearing that my photos/observations are useful. If you are looking for commercial use or are a larger organization using my photos even if in a noncommercial sense I would appreciate some compensation and would be happy to discuss to accommodate our needs.

Please note: I am currently uploading a backlog of many thousand observations dating back to 2009. Due to uploading many observations in a small grid there are bound to be some errors and I plan to run some quality checks after finishing uploading, as well as improve the photo quality of some observations as some of these are not cropped nicely. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and corrections in the meantime.

I have some of my favorite organisms as well as organisms I have personally worked with below!
