I am a "retired" teacher who decided to return to full time teaching at Columbia City Elementary School, Columbia CIty, Oregon. . I live in St. Helens, Oregon, a small city on the Columbia River. It is a place with many pockets of native plant species that were once characteristic of this part of Oregon. These pockets are under threat by development and proliferation of invasive plant species.
