I've always been interested in nature. Used to play with garter snakes, catch tadpoles and photograph wildflowers when I was young. My interest in actually identifying species really started in 2011 when I was asked to participate in The Carden Challenge. Teams that participate in the Biodiversity category list mammals, herps, odes and leps in addition to birds. When I'm out I'm ready to look at anything. Results for a day out will usually include any species I find: mammal, herp, insect, spider, occasional plant.
