Descripción
Impromptu night search for the endangered marbled salamander in an area where those beauties have been missing since 1935. ZNE, EwA, members of MCZ had a great time under continuous rain, and 🥁 Success! After finding larvae this spring (remember?), now we can report 2 additional adults, to 2 more that were found a few days ago by ZNE. All 4 in good health to date...
1 dead found (no head) and collected by MCZ.

Descripción
Cute but invasive Arion slug munching away. Arion are hermaphrodites and can reproduce either by self- or cross-fertilization, depending upon conditions and habitat stability. They feed primarily on fungi and decaying plant matter. They have also been known to consume animal feces, injured or dead insects, and algae. Read more about the slimy Arion invasion (Climatic niche and current and future biogeography of Arion slug invaders) > https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.1111/ddi.12789.
