Believe its red mangrove due to the Propagules hanging on it in corner, couldn't get real close for a bright photo due to water in the way.

Descripción

Visual description: This squirrel has a gray body but the underside is brown to white. The tail is fluffy and the squirrel is covered in fur. The tips of the hair on the tail looks to be light gray or white. The squirrel was about 10-12 inches in length.
Defining Characteristics: This squirrel is a deuterostome. The body and large eyes are features that rodents have.
Habitat: These photos were taken in an urban-grant university. These squirrels can be found in eastern United States, Canada, Italy, Scotland. England, and Ireland. They tend to inhabit forest type areas or areas that have trees but they can be found in rural, suburban, and urban woodlots.

Visual Description: Greenish white covering on the bark of the tree with parts seeming like its lifting from the bark. The lifted portions have wavy edges. Very thin and flat.
Defining characteristics: This is a lichen. Lichens have a mutualistic relationship with algae and fungi. This lichen is growing on the bark of a tree but can be found on rocks or cement.
Habitat: These photos were taken in an urban-grant university. This lichen was found on the bark of a tree. Lichens can be found in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and New Zealand. It can be found on soil, mosses, bark, and rocks.

Visual Description: Red, thin body, segments through out its entire body, two antennas on the front of its head, and many small legs from its head to the end of its body. Its is about two inches long.
Defining Characteristics: This millipede is a protostome. Millipedes are part of the member arthropod which are a protostome. The many legs and segmented body are defining characteristics of a millipede.
Habitat: These photos were taken in an urban-grant university. Millipedes can be found across America and in Puerto Rico. They tend to inhabit decaying leaves. This millipede was found on a side walk by some bushes.

Visual Description: Long thin leaves that form a cluster, each leaf has a fuzz on it, the ballmoss is light green with reddish-brown tips.
Defining Characteristics: This ballmoss is a flowering seed plant. The thin, fuzzy leaves that form a ball are a defining feature of the ballmoss.
Habitat: These photos were taken in an urban-grant university. This ballmoss was found on the side of a tree. They can be found in southeast America, this photo being taken at Florida, Mexico, Central America and South America.

Visual Description: Green to yellow fronds and spots/ bumps (sori) on the pinnule. Each frond being about two inches long and each pinnule being half an inch to an inch long.
Defining Characteristics: This fern is a seedless vascular plant. the sori underneath the frond is a distinct characteristic of a fern.
Habitat: The photos were taken in an urban-grant university. These ferns were found growing in the side of a tree lower towards the ground. They can be found throughout southeast America, these photos being taken in Florida.

Descripción

Round, flat shaped caps that are dark brown in the center with a gradient that becomes a tan/beige color. The underside is a crème color and has gills. Each cap being about half an inch in length and about an inch off the ground.
Habitat: These photos were taken in an urban-grant university. These mushrooms were found in damp soil with mulch, twigs, and leaves. They can be found across North America in all season but winter. They tend to grow around twigs, branches, and leaf litter.
