I went for a walk today in the Chestnut hill Park between around 5 and 5:30. It was a relatively cold day not too bad. During my walk I observed a lot of mosses, ferns, and evergreens, but not many flowering plants. I attributed this to the seasonal cycle that occurs in flowering plants. When I finally did find flowering plants they were located close to a body of water. Overall the walk was very enjoyable.

I wandered around a forest in Andover for around 45 minutes from around 2:00 to around 3:00. During the walk I was looking around for fungi such as mushrooms molds and lichens. At first it was hard to find and identify fungi except for mushrooms but as the walk went on I got better at seeing and identifying them. It was a nice day out so the walk was very pleasant and it was fun and interesting to look for a specific type of organism.

I took a walk in the newton woods between 6:00 and 6:30. It was a chilly day and right before the sun went down. I walked along the trails and noticed many different types of flowers and mushrooms as well as other plants. I noticed a few animals as well such as birds squirrels and chipmunks but could not get any good pictures. Unfortunately I also noticed some trash around the premises. It was overall an enjoyable walk and I look forward to future walks in new places.
