I saw 5 of these huge tree squirrels along the Jordan River in Salt Lake City. I've lived here for decades, and never seen a Fox Squirrel in Utah. They are not native here,so I assume an introduced exotic, but they seem to be established,at least in this neighborhood. I felt their presence here should be documented somehow.

The fox squirrel stopped dead in its tracks when he rounded the trunk and caught site of the owl! Owl is a western screech owl named Artemis. An unreleasable education ambassador with Halkwatch International.
